Delivery Information
We aim to deliver your order as soon as possible, our normal
delivery time is 5 to 7 working days. Please note that deliveries
will normally be made between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday
and for larger items must be signed for.
If unable to deliver the carrier should leave a card giving
delivery options, however you can always give a different
shipping address if you so wish (i.e. neighbour, work, relation,
etc) where a person would be available to sign and take delivery.
Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse
our catalogue, click on any items that you wish to buy
and put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished
your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will
be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy
the order.
If you are shopping from outside the UK, place your order
and your credit card company will convert the transaction
in to your own currency. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Switch,
Delta and Solo cards. We do not charge for any item until
it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until
they are shipped.
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You
will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order
if you would rather not wait.
Pricing Discrepancies
Obviously we make every effort to ensure that the information
on our site is correct and we have undertaken considerable checking
in this regard. However, stocking as many products as we do
it is inevitable that at some time a discrepency will occur.
We foresee two possible scenarios and each of these is dealt
with below:
Differences on product pages and shopping basket:
With an e-commerce web site, that is one where you can make
a purchase while online, there is considerable programming required
to make everything work properly, and perhaps more importantly
easily, for the shopper. It is possible that the price quoted
on one of our product description pages will differ from the
amount shown when you review your purchases. For this reason
we ask that you check your 'Shopping Basket' carefully before
proceeding to order and pay for your goods. If you do notice
a discrepency we suggest that you remove the item from your
'Shopping Basket' and ask that you use the contact
us form that is linked from that page to tell us about it.
We will investigate immediately and contact you with the results
and confirmation that the error has been corrected.
Incorrect Web Site Pricing:
It may happen that we have made a mistake and an incorrect
price for an item has been entered on the web site. Whilst
the product page and 'Shopping Basket' agree, when we check
the order we find that the price is wrong.
If we discover that the price on this web site is greater
than the actual price we will proceed with your order but
charge you the correct, and reduced, amount. We will also
advise you of this so that you can reconcile your credit card
statement.
If the price on this site is lower than the actual price we
will advise you of this before processing your order. If the
revised price is still acceptable we will ask you to confirm
this to us and we will then despatch your goods. If the revised
price is not acceptable we will remove the relevent item from
your order and despatch any other items which were priced
correctly.
It goes without saying that the web site will be immediately
amended to reflect the correct pricing.
Postage & Packing
There is no charge for post and packing on all UK orders over
£9.99. All goods are dispatched within the UK mainland
only (not including Northern Ireland). Rates for all other
destinations are available on request.
Taxes
Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union,
VAT @ 17.5% is included.
Security
You may have heard that shopping on the Internet is not safe
and that your credit card details, along with your name and
address, are likely to be intercepted and used fraudulently.
In truth this is very unlikely but the risk, no matter how
small, does exist.
To eliminate this risk we have installed a secure server link
on our site. What this means, in plain English, is that when
you are ready to purchase your chosen items you are taken
to a screen where all of the information that you enter is
encrypted before being sent making it impossible for anyone
but us to read it.
You can tell that you are using a secure link in one of two
ways. If you have not turned the option off in your browser
a small message box will appear on your screen advising you
that you are about to view pages over a secure connection
which cannot be read by anyone else. Once you clear the message
a small padlock symbol will be present in the bottom bar,
or status bar, of your Internet browser confirming the secure
nature of the page that you are viewing.
Even if you have turned this information box off, or you
are using a less popular browser that does not give these
warnings, you can still tell that the page you are using is
secure by looking in the address bar at the top of your browser.
Normally this displays http://www.websiteaddress.com, but
on a secure site the http is replaced with https. Notice the
addition of an 'S' to the http? This signifies 'Secure' and
means that you can enter your personal details safe in the
knowledge that they cannot be used by anyone except us.
When we set up our secure website, we obtained our SSL Certificate
from Thawte, one of the most trusted Certifying Authorities
in the world. As part of our application, we provided them
with certain legal information about our company, which they
used to certify that porkysproshop.com is legitimate and should
be certified. We know of no documented cases of credit card
fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit
card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order
is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted
after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear
text on any web site.
Returns Policy
If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with
your purchase, you can contact us within 14 working days after
you receive the goods to arrange to return them and receive
a full refund of the purchase price.
If you decide to cancel your order, you will need to return
the goods, but before doing so, please contact
us. We will advise you on how to return the goods, so
that they reach us speedily and safely.
If you do cancel your order but do not return the goods,
we may arrange to collect them from you at your cost.
These conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a
UK consumer.
Complaints

Alternatively you can ring us or write to us at the address
given under the contact us section.
We will do our best to resolve your query as speedily as possible,
and will in any event contact you to acknowledge it within
5 working days.
We monitor our complaints procedures to ensure that they
are fair and effective. But please let us know if you are
not happy with the results.
Guarantee
We guarantee your satisfaction. If any product bought from
this web site does not meet our high standards of quality
or functionality then please return it to us within 14 days
and we will exchange it or refund its cost.
